December, 2007: Winner -- Seoul Arts Hall Symphonic Festival Soloist Audition
Jae won the Seoul Arts Hall Soloist Audition for the Symphonic Festival 2008. As the winner, he will be performing Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 3 in April 2008 in the Concert Hall of Seoul Arts Hall. Orchestra and Date TBA.
August, 2007: Laureate -- Viardo International Piano Competition
Jae was awarded third prize at the VIP Competition playing the Rachmaninoff Concerto No. 2 with Plano Symphony. He was chosen by Maestro Hector Guzman to perform in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2008.
February, 2007: SMC Music Festival, Korea
Jae was invited as a faculty member to teach at the Seoul Music Club Festival of Korea. He'll be teaching piano and coach chamber music groups in addion to performances.
December, 2006: Laureate -- Concurso Internacional de Piano, Ferrol, Spain
Jae was awarded second prize at the competition.
June, 2006: Laureate -- Piano Masters Competition, Monte-Carlo
Jae was one of the two finalist at the World Music Masters Competition in Monte-Carlo, performing Rachmaninoff Concerto No. 2 with Monte-Carlo Philharmonic. As a result, he'll be making his Paris debut in 2009 with Orchestre Colonne with Maestro Laurent Petitgirard.
June, 2006: CDs have arrived!
Jae's recital at the Chethems Piano Festival of Manchester 2006 was recorded and released under Dunelm Records of England. You can now order the CD through this web site. Please go to Discography page for details!
June, 2006: Laureate -- Lake Como International Piano Competition, Como, Italy
Jae was awarded second prize at the Lake Como competition. He almost didn't make it to the competition due to a concert engagement in New York. He arrived in Italy on the last day of the first round of the competition, playing three hours after his arrival.
